The high inertia power system allows more time to respond to loss of power and delays drop in rotor speed
Jet thrust is released from the power system near the tips of the rotor blades, interrupting vortex formation and channeling a substantial volume of air radially outward from the nozzles. This thrust is applied at the end of the rotor blade, where the majority of lift occurs and where it is most vulnerable to Vortex Ring State (VRS).
